As a child all I knew about L.A. was that it was overpopulated and traffic wasted precious hours of one’s life. However this past weekend was different, L.A. had managed to win my heart again. The city life is exciting! Yes, traffic is wack, finding a parking spot is like hitting the lotto, and the cost of living is as high as skyscrapers. I went to TWO Starbucks in downtown L.A., and both were full! No seats were spared! I had to fight for an electric output. Cruising isn’t what it used to be, back then gas prices were reasonable. Still the city has a way of charming you, and revealing to you it’s raw beauty.

This past Sunday April 3, 2011 was the “Rebuilding Japan From Los Angeles” car meet at the Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple in 815 East 1st Street. As I slowly pulled up I already saw real clean cars, there was a parking spot really close to the show. Should I take it? Hell no, not with my stock Evo. Not to mention she hasn’t been cleaned. So I parked a block away. It was a great turn out!

A couple of muscle cars came and showed support as well!

I need to snag me a Ruckus!

All profits were donated to Hongwanji’s Social Welfare Department.
